Where Heckscher State Park, FIELD #1, East Islip, NY Cost 7.00 per car Please respond to this e-mail invitation as to set up a head count. Please indicate the number of family members, with their names, that you will be bringing to the picnic. We are creating nametags as to distinguish guests from the general public.

Event: An "All Graduate Classes" Reunion Picnic of Copiague High School. Date: Saturday August 16, 2003 Time: Dawn to Dusk Place: Heckscher State Park, Field One, East Islip, New York Admission: Free (Bring your own food and drink). You will be charged $7.00 per car by the State of NY for admission into the park. Picnic Events: Raffles, attendance by Mr. O'Connell, and much more. We encourage the purchase of raffle tickets to offset the setup costs. Proceeds beyond setup costs will be donated towards reputable charitable organizations. What will be provided: Nametags, Balloons and Table Cloths. Please invite fellow classmates to make sure that they know of this event!

Heckscher State Park Box 160 Heckscher State Park has more than a million visitors a year. Twenty miles of trails attract hikers, bicycle and cross-country skiers. Swimmers can use the Great South Bay or the swimming pool complex. There are picnic areas, a boat launch ramp, playing fields, playground and 69 campsites. Only vehicles under eleven feet high can come into the campgrounds. Pavilion is by Permit Only. Directions: At the end of the Heckscher State Pkwy, 50 miles from Manhattan on the south shore of LI, within the East Islip/Great River Area in Suffolk County. Seasons/Hours: Open year round, seven days a week, sunrise to sunset. Pets: Dogs only. Access in undeveloped areas only, on a leash not more than 6 feet. Not allowed in camping, bathing and picnic areas. Not allowed in buildings or on walkways. Hiking Attractions: Beach, Camper Recreation, Empire Passport Accepted, Picnic Tables, Pool, Tent/Trailer Sites, Biking, Fishing, Nature Trail, Playground, Recreation Programs, Boat Launch Site, Dumping Stations, Food, Playing Fields, Showers. If a change occurs you will be notified well in advance of the event. Class of 1949 Info I graduated from Copiague School, 8th grade in 1949. There was no High School at that time, we had to choose either Lindenhurst or Amityville. I opted for Lindenhurst, as did Robert LePorte, Ida Paint, Marie Antonacchi, Clinton Perini, Maxine Weisberg, and maybe a few others. I was just surfing around internet, and
literally came upon Copiague Reunions..how I got there I will never be
able to explain...I just want to confirm that there is a reunion Agust 16,
2003. I live in Florida now, but keep in contact with friends who are
still in Copiauge and surrounding area, but they don't have any idea there
is a reuinion taking place...Thanks for your time.

Class 1969
I graduated Copiague High School with my Regents Diploma one year earlier
than the rest of my class, in August 1969, instead of with the rest of my
classmates on their June 1970 commencement. I have never been contacted
for any high school reunions, despite calling the school requesting to be on
the mailing list many years ago. My brother John Keegan forwarded the info
about the multi-class reunion this summer. Please put me on your mailing list
of Copiague High Alum with the class of 1970. Thank you.
